Play testing

Finally being able to put the warriors on the playing field means I can play test.  Doing so I found very obvious problems I'd never considered; there is no way to mark who owns a Capital or Village, keeping track of money and all troop health is a hassle, paper pieces are quite difficult to play with (lol), and the prices and ranges I had for almost every warrior were totally not working!

That being said, it was very helpful to sit down and work through these issues on the board.  Lots more work still has to be done before this is a fun game to play, but I can see the final version, I've just got to get there.  I've already addressed some of the issues, and other I've just made general notes and comments on them in my own notes, and I've yet to test out my solutions.

As for the ability to keep track of who owns a village, chits that take up the whole plot are seeming to be the best option.  And while it may not be pretty, I'm considering keeping all warrior health kept by hand.  This actually opens a door into the possibility of having a warrior's health hidden until they are killed, not dissimilar to sinking a ship in Battleship.  Perhaps I'll leave that in, I'm undecided as of now.  But the prospect is intriguing!  As for the warriors, I believe what I may do is model some extremely basic figurines in a 3d CAD and use a 3d printer to create them.  This option could actually work quite well considering this will be an online-only board game.  I could just attach the model files on the itch page and allow people to print their own warrior pieces.  I actually have a few ideas for keeping track of individual warriors that would work well if I am able to 3d model them, so I'll keep pressing that avenue.

Much more ideas floating around and problems to be solved.  I look forward to a continued effort on this project!

Thank you all for giving this your time.  Peace!
